Cardiff / Hybrid - £45,000 + Bonus & Benefits

Are you an experienced Account Manager with strong knowledge of automatic meter reading (AMR) products and solutions?
We’re recruiting a Market Wide Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS) Data Account Manager to join a leading smart energy and data services provider in Cardiff. This hybrid role offers an excellent salary of£45,000 per year, plus bonus, employee ownership benefits, and a comprehensive package.

What is MHHS?

Market Wide Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS) is one of the most important changes in the UK energy industry. It replaces estimated energy usage with accurate half-hourly data from smart meters. This enables fairer billing, smarter tariffs (like EV charging and time-of-use), and supports the UK’s drive towards asmarter, greener energy system.

As an MHHS Data Account Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of this transformation — ensuring customer migrations run smoothly and that SMS delivers consistently high performance post-migration.

What you’ll be doing

  • Oversee customer migrations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to agreed processes.

  • Manage SMS’s performance post-migration across allocated customer portfolios.

  • Act as the first point of contact for escalated issues, driving resolution and continuous improvement.

  • Monitor SLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations, providing regular reporting to senior management.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

  • Lead presentations, training, and coaching sessions to support knowledge sharing.

  • Contribute to process improvements and support operational teams in delivering excellence.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in account management, customer success or data services.

  • Strong knowledge of automatic meter reading (AMR) products and solutions – essential.

  • Understanding of electricity industry standards and settlement processes – desirable.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Highly organised, analytical, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint essential).

  • A proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused mindset.

Why join?

Alongside a competitive salary, this role offers a package designed to reward and support you:

  • £45,000 salary + annual bonus

  • Employee ownership scheme– be part of a business where you share in the success

  • Hybrid working – Cardiff office base with occasional travel to other offices/customers

  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays (rising with service)

  • Company pension scheme

  • Life assurance & wellbeing support

  • Ongoing career development in a continuously evolving energy and data sector

  • Be part of a forward-thinking company at the forefront of smart energy innovation
