Our client is a well-established and growing engineering training organisation, working with over 300 engineering and manufacturing employers across the UK. They deliver Level 3 apprenticeships and industry-led training, shaping the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

They’re now looking for an experienced Welding professional to step into a Welding Instructor role — a practical, workshop-based position where your real-world experience matters more than teaching credentials.

If you’ve coached apprentices, set standards on the shop floor, or taken pride in doing things properly — this role is built for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Training apprentices and learners in welding-related disciplines

  • Supporting apprenticeship programmes and regulated qualifications

  • Using your industry experience to develop skills, behaviours and confidence

  • Guiding learners to become safe, competent and work-ready

  • Promoting strong Health & Safety standards in the workshop

  • Playing a key role in shaping future engineering talent

You’ll be fully supported with structured training, mentoring and guidance from an experienced Teaching & Learning team.

What They’re Looking For

Essential

  • Strong background in welding with experience in one or more of:

    • Welding

    • Pipefitting

    • Plating

    • Sheet metal work

  • City & Guilds Craft Certificate or equivalent

  • Good understanding of Health & Safety practices

  • Confident communicator with basic IT skills

  • Genuine interest in developing others

Desirable (Not Essential – Fully Funded Training Provided)

  • Teaching or assessor qualifications

  • TWI Coded Welding Inspector / Trainer

No teaching qualifications? No problem.
All required instructor and assessor qualifications will be fully funded and supported.
