Accounts Senior – competitive salary
We are excited to be working with one of the fastest-growing firms in the Midlands who due to continued growth across the UK are looking to recruit additional Accounts Seniors.
My client is a forward-thinking and innovative firm that is looking to hire an experienced tax professional with a background /experience in personal tax and trusts.
They are now looking for a forward-thinking and ambitious Accounts Senior to join their growing tax team.
They are a progressive and popular multi-partner firm with a great culture and an enviable selection of key clients across the UK.
The firm has a progressive and modern feel and a diverse UK wide client base from sole traders and partnerships up to limited companies with steadily growing turnovers in excess of a million pounds per office.
As an Accounts Senior you will undertake a varied role in which the workload will include a mixture of year-end and management accounting as well as tax compliance work for a range of SME businesses across the UK.
There will be scope for you to work towards having the responsibility for your own portfolio of interesting clients which will primarily consist of limited companies but will also include some private individuals and partnerships from an array of industry sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for the successful Accounts Senior to join an established and reputable firm where there will be genuine scope for career progression and personal development.
What you’ll be doing
Preparation of limited company statutory accounts and corporation tax computations and returns
Reporting to partners – you will be involved with the preparation of accounts to final strange for sole traders, partnerships and SMEs
Preparation of corporation tax returns
Preparing management accounts for clients, including occasional site visits
What we’re looking for
Qualified (ACCA/ICAEW or equivalent) or be working towards final exams
Experience of working in practice is essential
Preferably experience of audit (limited companies), advantageous but not essential
Personal tax experience including completing personal and partnership tax returns
Business tax skills, including preparing computations for sole traders and partnerships
