Engineering Lecturer
Location: Hull (with occasional travel to Grimsby and Scunthorpe)

No previous teaching experience is required. Full training, mentoring and ongoing support will be provided.
This role is particularly attractive to engineers looking to step away from site-based work, shift patterns or extensive travel.
We’re recruiting on behalf of a highly respected and long-established engineering training organisation delivering Level 3, 4 and 5 engineering apprenticeships, higher education and upskilling programmes to over 300 engineering and manufacturing employers.

The role
You will deliver classroom-based engineering education to apprentices and adult learners, covering subjects such as:
Mechanical Principles and Engineering Maths
Engineering Science, Design and CAD
Fluid Mechanics
Health and Safety and Lean Manufacturing
Production Engineering
Quality and Process Improvement
Professional Engineering Management
Supervising Level 3 and Level 4 engineering projects and Level 5 research projects
About you
This role will suit an industry professional who has:
A degree in engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Strong industry background and technical capability
Good IT and documentation skills
Clear communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners
A genuine interest in developing others

Location and travel
Based primarily at the Hull training centre, with occasional travel to Grimsby and Scunthorpe. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.
